Job Description:
Our client is looking to recruit a Technical Assistant on a temporary basis for their Engineering Office based in Westhill. The main requirement of this position is to complete data manipulation and imports to the PDM document management system to help support the SAS function for the future.
The role will involve:
Gathering and cataloguing documents and drawings relating to the company product ranges from various locations in the group. Documenting files and creating import scripts using Microsoft Excel. Supporting and checking all imports in the test system prior to live imports. Ensuring imported documents are archived and removed from server locations to prevent incorrect use.
Job Requirements:
Ideally holding 4 Standard Grades (or equivalent) you will be able to use a range of software including databases. You must be able to demonstrate an advanced level of competence using Excel and preferably also Microsoft Access. You will be flexible, self motivated and able to work with minimum supervision, with a flair for analysing problems and identifying possible solutions. You should also be enthusiastic, energetic and be able to display a professional attitude.
