Our client is a large international Oil & Gas operator with a significant presence in the North Sea. They seek to recruit a Senior Control & Instrument Engineer to work within a small specialist team providing C&I support to offshore platforms on a range of operational issues. This challenging role will offer candidates the ability to operate at the cutting edge of offshore C&I technology over a large range of producing assets from fixed platforms to FPSO's. Several major upgrades are already planned to take place within the span of the contract on offer.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
• Supporting the execution of SIS lifecycle activities in accordance with IEC 61508/11 and company standards. • Provision of technical support to the asset operation and maintenance personnel in troubleshooting, design changes and modifications to instrumentation and associated control systems. • Delivery of asset production enhancements through control scheme and instrumentation improvements. • Active participation in HAZOP and Safety Integrity Level reviews, design reviews and risk assessments. • Undertaking alarm management activities including performance analysis and design and implementation of improvements. • Supporting the verification of discipline related elements of company standards.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Candidates should be degree qualified in a suitable engineering discipline and be able to demonstrate a solid career in selection and specification of field instrumentation for oil and gas process facilities. You should also have extensive knowledge of common DCS (Distributed Control Systems), PLC Programmable Logic Controllers, and operator interface systems from major suppliers. Candidates who have good awareness of IEC61508/11 and the safety lifecycle for safety instrumented systems will have a considerable advantage.
